About the Role
We are looking for a skilled BigFix Engineer with hands-on expertise in HCL BigFix and strong background in endpoint management and systems administration. The candidate will be responsible for patch management, automation, compliance enforcement, and integrating BigFix with enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage HCL BigFix infrastructure for endpoint security and compliance.
- Develop and deploy custom fixlets, tasks, and baselines for software distribution, patch management, and configuration.
- Automate patch management processes and ensure timely OS and application updates.
- Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards using BigFix Web Reports.
- Integrate BigFix with ServiceNow/VR and leverage BigFix REST API for automation and external tool integration.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to support vulnerability remediation efforts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve BigFix-related issues promptly.
- Perform capacity planning, upgrades, and ensure high availability of BES architecture.
- Document processes, solutions, and configurations for knowledge sharing.
Must-Have Skills
- HCL BigFix expertise (fixlets, baselines, patch automation).
- Strong knowledge of endpoint management, system administration, and security concepts.
- Scripting experience: Relevance language, Action Script, PowerShell, Shell scripting.
- Solid understanding of BES architecture and patch management processes.
- Experience integrating BigFix with ServiceNow and using REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, AIX OS.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with vulnerability management tools and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of automation/orchestration beyond BigFix.
- ITIL or relevant certifications.
