Experience

• 8+ years of overall SAP experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Data Archiving and Document Management.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Data Archiving & Document Management Techno-Functional Consultant to support business application owners in planning, implementing, and managing SAP data archiving and document management initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess strong techno-functional expertise in SAP Data Archiving along with experience in at least two core SAP functional modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, or Logistics, with a solid understanding of cross-module data dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data eligible for archiving based on business usage, retention policies, compliance requirements, and legal regulations.
• Plan and execute SAP data archiving activities across multiple SAP modules.
• Provide recommendations on archive object selection, retention periods, and audit/legal compliance requirements.
• Configure, manage, and support standard as well as custom SAP archiving objects.
• Perform archiving simulations in non-production environments and validate reporting and data retrieval requirements with business users.
• Schedule, monitor, and support regular archiving jobs while resolving archiving-related issues.
• Validate archived data and ensure data integrity throughout the archiving lifecycle.
• Work closely with SAP Basis, Security, and Compliance teams during implementation and support activities.
• Configure and manage SAP Document Management System (DMS), including repository creation, document versioning, metadata management, and security settings on SAP BTP.
• Manage document creation, storage, retrieval, retention, and deletion in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, configuration documents, testing results, and archiving procedures.

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Data Archiving and Document Management.
• Strong techno-functional expertise in at least two SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, or Logistics.
• Hands-on experience in configuring SAP Data Archiving and Document Management solutions.
• Good understanding of data dependencies across SAP business objects and modules.
• Experience with SAP DMS configuration on SAP BTP, including repository setup, document versioning, metadata management, and security configuration.
• Knowledge of document lifecycle management, including creation, storage, retrieval, and retention.
• Experience with archive storage repositories such as SAP IQ, OpenText, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of GDPR and other data privacy, retention, and compliance regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business users, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with custom archive objects and archive reporting solutions.
• Exposure to SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM).
• Knowledge of audit and compliance requirements related to enterprise data retention.
• Experience working on SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, or transformation projects.
• Familiarity with enterprise document management best practices and governance.
