Job Title: Senior Software Engineer – Rust (LLM Evaluation & Repository Validation)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Rust to join our team and work on Large Language Model (LLM) evaluation and repository validation projects. The role requires strong systems programming experience, deep debugging skills, and familiarity with large-scale open-source projects. As part of this role, you will contribute to validating, testing, and refining repositories, ensuring high performance, security, and maintainability.

This is a remote contract-to-hire position, offering an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI and Rust-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Rust-based applications for LLM evaluation and repository validation.
• Analyze, understand, and navigate complex codebases across large-scale repositories.
• Work with Git-based workflows to manage, evaluate, and validate code contributions.
• Develop, run, and modify real-world projects locally for testing and performance validation.
• Containerize applications and pipelines using Docker for consistent deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine LLM evaluation frameworks.
• Contribute to or evaluate open-source projects and provide technical assessments.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, security, and maintainability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of overall software engineering experience.
• Proven hands-on expertise with Rust programming language.
• Proficiency with Git version control systems and managing collaborative repositories.
• Experience with Docker and containerized development environments.
• Strong ability to debug, modify, and run real-world projects locally.
• Experience in repository validation and open-source contributions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to LLM evaluation frameworks, AI/ML-driven applications.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Prior contributions to open-source Rust projects.
