Job Title: Tech Lead (Java/J2EE)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tech Lead with 4–6 years of professional experience in Java/J2EE enterprise application development to join our team in Chennai. This is a contractual, work-from-office position (5 days a week). The selected candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-level applications while leading a small team of developers and ensuring high-quality solutions.

The Tech Lead will act as a bridge between technical execution and project delivery, ensuring that business requirements are translated into scalable, efficient, and reliable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-level applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture for scalable applications.
• Implement and maintain Spring Framework modules including Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
• Ensure database design, optimization, and performance tuning for MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with QA teams to implement unit testing and automation using JUnit, Mockito, and other frameworks.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred) to streamline deployment.
• Own project delivery timelines and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth project execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional experience in software development with Java/J2EE.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and enterprise-level application development.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Microservices, and SOA principles.
• Hands-on experience in MySQL/PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
• Proficiency in Java testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, etc.).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Docker containerization.
• Exposure to AWS cloud services for application hosting and deployment.
• Proven team leadership and mentoring experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
