Job Title: SAP ABAP – FTC ERP Technical Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Technical Consultant for a full-time contractual engagement in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have core ABAP expertise and hands-on experience with S/4 HANA, SAP UI5, Fiori, and RAP development. This is a client-facing role that requires strong technical proficiency, cross-functional business knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with global teams.

The consultant must ensure high-quality application development, regulatory compliance, and client-centric delivery while adhering to SDLC processes and global SLA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead application development in ABAP within ECC 6.0 and higher systems.
• Design and develop custom enhancements, BADI, BAPI, User Exits, Reports, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and Interfaces.
• Develop solutions using ABAP for S/4 HANA, RAP, AMDP, CDS, BOPF, and CAP.
• Build and extend SAP UI5 and Fiori applications using SAP Gateway and SEGW.
• Provide technical analysis and solutions for SAP modules SD, MM, FICO, and PP, including cross-functional integration.
• Perform root cause analysis using SAP tools (ABAP Debugger, SQL Trace, Application Logs, Transport and Version Management).
• Work with interfaces and messaging architectures such as Webservices, PROXY, EDI/IDOC, XI/PI.
• Ensure adherence to SAP abstraction layers and best practices in Open SQL, Data Dictionary, and system commands.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to handle incident management, reporting, and resource allocation.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and documentation (technical specs, test scripts, and review documents).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: BE/B.Tech/MCA/Graduate (Full-time)
• Experience: 8 – 10 years in SAP ABAP (core + S/4 HANA)
• Core Skills: ABAP (ECC 6.0+), S/4 HANA ABAP Development, RAP, AMDP, CDS Views, BOPF, OO Programming.
• UI Skills: SAP UI5, Fiori, SAP Gateway modeling, SAP PERSONAS, JavaScript.
• Forms & Interfaces: SmartForms, Adobe Forms, BAPI, BADI, IDOC, Webservices, XI/PI.
• Database & Tools: SQL Monitor (SQLM), SCMON, ABAP Debugger, Remedy, eCATT, BDC Programming.
• Additional Advantage: BRF+ coding, CAP development, knowledge of SCMON.
• Strong communication, client engagement, and global collaboration skills.
