Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant – Cloud Operations / AWS Tech Architect to oversee enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure operations. The role focuses on performance, reliability, automation, and security, leading a team of cloud engineers, optimizing cloud resources, ensuring compliance, and implementing best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and optimal performance.
• Optimize cloud configurations for cost efficiency and performance improvement.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability tools such as CloudWatch and Grafana.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Oversee Windows and Linux system administration for cloud environments.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cloud engineers and administrators, fostering collaboration and skill growth.
• Handle incident management, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Drive automation initiatives and develop automation scripts/tools for operational efficiency.
• Ensure security controls, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and enforce cloud best practices.
• Conduct capacity planning, cost optimization, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to align cloud solutions with organizational goals.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and generate regular performance and incident reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cloud operations, system administration, and technical leadership.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Terraform).
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, monitoring, and security practices.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in vendor management and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cloud certifications: AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, Google Cloud DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git).
• Knowledge of ITIL or other service management frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.
