Infrastructure Specialist-AWS DevOps

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network & Kubernetes Migration Specialist to lead enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure modernization and migration initiatives on AWS. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in AWS networking, Kubernetes (Amazon EKS), hybrid cloud connectivity, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud networking and container platforms while supporting application migration to Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end AWS infrastructure and network migration projects for enterprise environments.
• Design, implement, and manage AWS networking components including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route Tables, NAT Gateways, and Security Groups.
• Architect and optimize hybrid cloud connectivity between on-premises and AWS environments.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Amazon EKS clusters for production workloads.
• Design Kubernetes networking, ingress, service mesh, cluster security, and workload scaling strategies.
• Collaborate with application teams to migrate containerized workloads to Amazon EKS.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including reusable modules and remote state management.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance of cloud infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex networking, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure issues.
• Implement cloud security best practices, governance, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Work closely with DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver migration programs successfully.

Required Skills

• 6–9 years of experience in AWS infrastructure, networking, and cloud migration projects.
• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS networking services including:
• Amazon VPC
• Transit Gateway
• AWS Direct Connect
• Site-to-Site VPN
• Route Tables
• Security Groups
• Network ACLs
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts including BGP, routing protocols, firewalls, subnetting, and network segmentation.
• Extensive production experience with Amazon EKS, including cluster architecture, deployment, scaling, upgrades, and networking optimization.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, networking, services, ingress controllers, storage, and security.
• Hands-on expertise in Terraform for infrastructure automation, reusable module development, and remote state management.
• Experience with cloud migration strategies and enterprise infrastructure transformation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes observability and monitoring tools.
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Advanced Networking, or DevOps Engineer) are preferred.
• Experience working in large enterprise or hybrid cloud environments.
