Job Description – Application Consultant – DevOps

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Application Consultant – DevOps to design, implement, and manage modern DevOps practices that enable seamless software delivery and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, containerization, and monitoring tools while collaborating closely with development and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Manage cloud environments and ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
• Build and maintain containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Monitor application performance, infrastructure health, and system reliability using industry-standard monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to streamline software delivery.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and application-related issues.
• Implement DevSecOps best practices, including security scanning and compliance checks within CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize build, release, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge-sharing across teams.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, or Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or Azure Monitor.
• Understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DevSecOps tools and security automation.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications (Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform) are an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6–9 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Application Deployment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
