About the Role

Avis India Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (AIMSPL), a joint venture between Avis Budget Group and The Oberoi Group, is looking for a Senior Manager – Fleet & Operations to drive day-to-day fleet and operational execution across its Rental & Chauffeur Drive (RAC) and Car Leasing businesses.

This role will work closely with the AVP – Fleet & Operations and will be responsible for hands-on execution across fleet procurement, maintenance, insurance, remarketing, compliance, vendor management, utilisation and MIS reporting.

The ideal candidate should have strong automotive/fleet operations experience and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across a multi-location network.

Key Responsibilities

1. RAC – Fleet & Operations

• Manage vehicle sourcing, OEM coordination and fleet induction activities.
• Drive day-to-day de-fleeting and vehicle remarketing activities.
• Coordinate scheduled and breakdown maintenance to ensure maximum fleet uptime.
• Manage insurance renewals, policy issuance and claims processing.
• Monitor fleet utilisation across branches and highlight operational gaps.
• Coordinate with car-hire vendors on availability, margins and fleet quality.
• Conduct fleet quality, grooming and compliance audits.
• Support chauffeur deployment, discipline and operational coordination.

2. Lease – Fleet & Operations

• Coordinate vehicle sourcing and procurement as per client requirements and induction timelines.
• Manage AMC/service contracts and monitor R&M expenditure against approved budgets.
• Track insurance renewals and claims for leased vehicles.
• Execute de-fleeting and remarketing of vehicles coming off lease.
• Support residual value mapping for new leasing deals.
• Monitor fleet utilisation and SLA/MLA adherence for Lease clients.
• Coordinate vendor onboarding, service delivery and invoicing.
• Manage pool and replacement vehicles to ensure cost-effective and SLA-compliant operations.
• Prepare MIS covering R&M costs, vehicle sales profit and other operational income.

3. Cross-Business Responsibilities

• Support the AVP in implementing standardised fleet and operations processes across RAC and Lease.
• Coordinate with OEMs, insurers, workshops and other vendors to ensure operational and commercial commitments are met.
• Maintain accurate fleet data covering utilisation, costs, ageing and compliance.
• Use fleet/ERP systems such as Arc and Aegis for tracking and reporting.
• Prepare consolidated MIS, dashboards and reports for leadership reviews.
• Identify cost-saving and operational efficiency opportunities and highlight them to the AVP.
• Ensure adherence to fleet SOPs, processes and compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate in Engineering, Automobile, Business Administration or a related field.
• MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in fleet operations, automotive operations, vehicle leasing or car rental.
• Hands-on experience in areas such as maintenance, insurance, procurement and/or vehicle remarketing.
• Experience managing operations across multiple branches, dealer networks or client locations.
• Exposure to both car rental/chauffeur-drive and leasing operations will be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of fleet/ERP systems and MIS reporting; experience with Arc/Aegis is preferred.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on fleet operations professional with strong automotive industry exposure who can independently drive day-to-day execution across RAC and Lease while working closely with senior leadership on cost, efficiency, fleet availability and operational performance.
