About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backup Engineer to architect, deploy, and manage scalable backup and recovery solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in Cohesity and enterprise backup platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
• Manage and optimize Cohesity, Dell Data Domain, and other data protection tools.
• Configure and manage Microsoft 365 backup solutions.
• Automate workflows and reporting using Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Define backup policies, retention schedules, and ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, SOX.
• Perform capacity planning, upgrades, and patch management.
• Collaborate with security and infra teams for BC/DR plans.
• Provide documentation for audit and compliance initiatives.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years hands-on experience with enterprise backup platforms.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Cohesity (mandatory).
• Experience designing backup solutions for large-scale enterprises.
• Scripting skills – Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Strong knowledge of data replication, recovery, and compliance.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of VMWare, Windows, Unix/Linux, databases.
• Familiarity with Rubrik, Commvault, or other backup tools.
• Experience with DevOps practices and ServiceNow.
• Understanding of immutable storage, encryption, and air-gapped backups.
