Lead DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement

- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment processes

- Architect, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Drive the adoption and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

- Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance

- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to optimize release processes and system reliability

- Troubleshoot complex production issues, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures

- Define and promote best practices for system reliability, security, and operational efficiency across the organization

- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the DevOps toolchain and workflows

- Advocate for a strong SRE culture, focusing on automation, incident management, and post-mortems Requirements

- Extensive experience (7+ years) in DevOps, SRE, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or lead capacity

- Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including services related to compute, storage, networking, and security

- Proven track record with CI/CD automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps

- Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and system management

- Strong practical experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes

- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet

- Experience with monitoring and logging platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog)

- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and database management

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

- Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions, drive projects, and mentor team members

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field

- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

- Professional, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, CKA, CKAD)

- Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum)

- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems

- A strong passion for automation, continuous improvement, and problem-solving
