Description

Job Purpose:

To manage end-to-end procurement of hardware, fasteners, fabrication fittings, plant MRO items, and small bought-out components, ensuring the right quality, cost, and timely delivery. The role requires disciplined ERP usage and strong coordination with Stores, PPC, QA, and Maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Buying:

• Convert Purchase Requisitions (PRs) into Purchase Orders (POs) in ERP
• Float RFQs, collect quotations, and prepare comparison sheets
• Ensure accurate specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery terms

Vendor Follow-up:

• Manage assigned hardware and MRO suppliers
• Track deliveries and proactively highlight delays or shortages
• Escalate repeated vendor issues to the reporting manager

Internal Coordination:

• Coordinate with Stores, PPC, and Maintenance for material priorities
• Work with QA and internal users for approvals and clarifications

Systems & Compliance:

• Maintain clean ERP records (PR–PO–GRN linkage)
• Resolve GRN and invoice mismatches with Stores and Accounts
• Follow procurement SOPs, DoA, and company policies

Process Improvement:

• Support supplier consolidation initiatives
• Assist in implementing rate contracts and blanket POs
